Management Fosters Divisiveness

Pros

Benefits are decent and many employees are friendly and fun. You won't have any trouble making friends.

Cons

Argo management fosters divisiveness between departments and between team members. Team members were discouraged from reaching out to other departments for assistance or feedback on projects and it wasn't unusual to hear extremely negative comments (both personal and professional) from management about my peers and my employees.

Clueless

Pros

Company stays in business, because they have large locked-in clients. It is not likely to go away soon.

Cons

It is not likely to go away soon. Watched a number of very talented devs come into and out of the place, sometimes because they got wise, sometimes because they got overloaded until they were fired for 'under preforming'. The devs who have been there for a while are ones they hired for cheap fresh out of college, and have been able to hoodwink into staying. Saw more than one very talented dev leave there and double his salary. Short version: this is a churn shop - not a terrible place to land if you are desperate, but you should keep that resume active while you are there. Caution: be careful with your job hunting while there. They are watching and will question you about it.

May work but not a dream job

Pros

It is a good place to gain experience in a new area. The culture is little stiff and professional. It is not a place for everyone.

Cons

It is very hard to get recognized or awarded or promoted. Some one who is in good books of right people can only make that happen, which can cause discontent with other team members. Also, there are a lot of people leaving and that makes harder for people who stay to produce good quality work as they get moved around and burdened with others' work.
