Pros
Everyone I have engaged has been willing to help and team up to solve issues. People care about the work and generating great results and products. Parent company is Allstate - good resources (HR) and strong frameworks. There may be some times that Allstate gets in the way, but many parts of Arity function as a smaller, more nimble company. Almost all positions are now 100% remote/home based. Competitive compensation and some good perks (upgrades to your home office, gift certificates for coffee or lunch, access to discounts on goods). Arity has a very strong culture with honest efforts toward equity and equality. Management respects work-life balance and are understanding when schedules shift. Workforce has decent diversity with genuine efforts to continue and expand these practices.
Cons
Very complex business. This mixed with the fast pace can be a bit overwhelming. Benefits package (healthcare, 401k match) could be better for a company with Allstate’s resources. I think the pandemic has people evaluating what is important to them and thus the employment landscape is being shaken up for EVERYONE. Arity has made a few big hires but have also lost some important people recently
