Working at ASU was not a good experience

Pros

One of the only reasons to work at ASU is the faculty and staff commitment and dedication to students and the community.

Cons

The institution is too large and trying to become larger. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing and there were way too many turf wars in the division I was working. It reorganizes about every 4-6 months, doesn't accomplish goals and most of the staff have "moved on".

Pros

Great educational benefits. Challenging work environment Tempe is a great place to work and live - one of the best places in the country.

Cons

Salary is below regional norm. Direction of the university has changed - trying to operate as a private university on a public university mandate.
