      Pros

      constant amazing things happening all around, many world class people to work with, fantastic opportunities for learning, good health, retirement, education benefits

      Cons

      Constant change, almost impossible to get meaningful raises, your department can be shut down or cancelled anytime and everyone suddenly laid off.

      The New American University: Being a TA for a class of 180 students!!

      Please move away from this school.

      Cons

      I was the only TA for a class of 180 students! I have also had a very disappointing experience with my research adviser. My adviser fired me by the end of my TA semester. Later I got to know that she had fired 3 such students so far in the past 3 years. This number is so appalling considering the fact that she hasn't graduated any PhD student out of the lab so far.
