Run far away!

Pros

Was a good place to work when I first started, but the newness wears off quickly. Pay/benefits are lower based on national avg and other cooperatives. They will say their benefits are so great as the reason why they want to get away with paying you so little. Few good apples here, but good talent is wasted and ideas will go nowhere. Promotions don't happen, but you will get yearly bonus based on performance. Lots of work to keep you busy.

Cons

HR runs AECC. You have to kiss up to HR, otherwise you'll go nowhere. Very cliquey. Lots of favoritism. People care more about what's for lunch and gossiping than working. Be prepared to get thrown under the bus for everything if you're the new person. No teamwork. Most people are 'clock-watchers' and have no enthusiasm for being there. You'll have lots of unnecessary meetings about meetings. No job security; people get fired here on numerous occasions for no real reason just because HR doesn't like that person. People who worked here for 10+ years and some within months of retirement have been fired, yet someone with no job experience, no qualifications, or enthusiasm to even be there will stay just because HR likes that person.

Pros

Friendly at First and then they treat you like a different person as time progresses. Have nothing good to say about this company. Beware of their first impressions as they are not their true selves.

Cons

Friendly at First and then they treat you like a different person as time progresses. Management and HR deceives new employees into believing the work environment is a great place to work and later find out the real story.

It’s to Far Gone- I Miss Duane

Pros

For Little Rock and Rural Arkansas the salary is good but not competitive unless you are CEO or a Distribution Cooperative CEO. Benefits are okay but archaic. You accrue PTO and it is used for both sick and vacation. It takes a long time to build up time off. The company does not match 401K Contributions until you have been employed for 1 year.

Cons

1. Leadership has gone from bad to worse. Talks out of both sides of mouth. Chain of Command style leadership if any. No accountability from top to bottom. No one cares because the goal is retirement and leadership, management, and long time employees will walk out the door with their fat checks and don’t care with what is left behind for its members, customers, etc. 2. Lacks Diversity in every aspect, thought, race, gender etc. It’s a revolving door for women and people of color because they are denied promotions, advancement opportunities. 3. Outdated and Archaic- processes, systems, and way of thinking.
