Pros

Armed Forces Insurance (AFI) is a great place to work. There is a lot of job opportunity with some movement within the company depending on the position. Some positions have career path promotions. Many positions have the ability to telecommute /telework. AFI has been around for 133 years. AFI prides itself on providing great customer service to our members (active and retired military personal). Employees are very proud to be part of supporting those who support and protect our country. AFI has a good benefits package and compensation is comparable to the Kansas City market. AFI, also, has a good retirement plan.

Our dress code is too casual.

Pros

Once hired the on-boarding process was pretty straight forward and easy, Super friendly people, Smaller company with a family type atmosphere, schedule flexibility. Various training materials were available from day one including online tutorials, Powerpoint presentations, reading material for self-study and one on one sessions with my trainer, teammates and manager.

Cons

A little behind the times with regard to technology. Desk top CPU's vs. laptops.
