Pros

You can meet some great people that are in the trenches everyday with you. You can get lucky and have some really nice accounts handed to you. Good benefits. Nice offices. Good way to learn how to hustle and grind. It will help you figure out if sales is for you or not. Somewhat decent base pay, plus opportunities to hit bonuses. Fun events, Holiday parties, happy hours, in office events, etc. Like stated above, everyone on the sales floor is the in the dirt together, and you can relate with them. Could meet some very good friends.

Cons

-Long hours (7 or 8am-4 or 5pm). With afterhours calls/emails. -Forced to work weekends (they wont tell you in the interview process). -Upper mgmnt is more concerned with pleasing their investors than retaining top industry talent. In the last two-three years, they have lost a LOT of top talent. Due to major pay cuts and restructuring that only benefits the people on the top. Sort of turned it into a pyramid scheme. -Always on the clock. Expect phone calls 24/7. -You can lose accounts if you take vacations - they don't value relationship building with clients. Pass accounts around like they are candy. -Extremely expendable. You could build a very healthy book of business for 10 years, get fired the next day, and they will just disperse all your accounts around their team. -Extremely long training - ask your recruiter about that. -Pay cut every year for sales reps since the company started (at the same time, they increase the KPIs and ops requirements). -In office mentality - do not work here if you want a flex schedule. -Won't get a decent PTO package until you've been there for about 2 years. -the general freight market is the worst it has even been. Money making opportunity is not what it once was. -^Since the market is so bad - everyone is extremely nervous and easy to frustrate. Snappy managers and Acc. Managers. Will get yelled at and chewed out for something that happened at 2am when you were asleep. Make sure you have a thick skull and can brush that kind of stuff off if you accept an offer here. -Repetitive - can get boring sometimes. -Huge disconnect from managers and sales reps. Upper mgmt thinks everything is good. Sales reps unanimously disagree. Then mgmt wonders why the "culture" is not what it once was.

Pros

You can make a lot of money

Cons

You have to stay at the jobs for years before making good money. 10 hour days, not a healthy work culture/environment, budget cuts and less benefits
