Pros

A lot of Opportunities and very interesting market globally with a choice of multiple divisions

Cons

Tight management of who moves up, only people who have been there for years and belong to one of the executives....the rest have no chance....protected environment who moves up... HR not doing what it takes to promote open thinking, new ideas and proper succession planning based on skills and innovation vs. who knows who

Pros

Pay checks are always on time.

Cons

Arrow electronics is a disorganize company that feels like a mass conglomeration of several companies that were never uniformly connected. Working here for years you can see the disorganization from middle management downward, individual roles are undefined and at other companies most roles here would be split between individuals instead at Arrow workloads are unattainable. Middle-management is under-qualified in most circumstances. Promotion that occurs from within is not based on performance or education but rather how long someone can survive in the previous role or colleagues made at management level to further promotion. Arrow electronics is a revolving door of employees constantly changing that causes poor morale and poor company culture, with low motivation and a company that cares very little about employee attainment.

It sounds like the core problem relates to your views regarding how the disorganization of the company and management's approach affects your day-to-day job. It's unfortunate to hear that your experiences are not ideal. We encourage you to reach out or escalate to the appropriate party in getting your concerns resolved.

Pros

there are no longer any pros to working at Arrow if you don't live in Colorado.

Cons

The CEO of the company is only interested in bringing jobs from across the U.S. into Colorado to meet his commitment to the state for tax breaks. The company does not care about it's employees.

Thanks for sharing your experience. We have experienced a lot of transition last year, as we relocated our Accounting and Finance functions to the CO offices. Employees in the Melville facility were offered the opportunity to relocate to Colorado if they desired. We are looking forward to this next chapter for the company.
