Pros

Free lunch and no premium for insurance.

Cons

1) Clique, be careful if you are part of one of the cliques. You can be forgotten or, worst, pushed out. 2) Unlimited vacation that will not let you use or, worse, ask you to cancel after approval. 3) Lack of management experience. Most manger has zero skills to support their team. 5) Lack of transparency on promotion and hiring practices. Most people join with a big promotion. So if you don't get a promotion, you are already screwed. 4) You are expected to work long hours, weekends, and holidays. However, this is not the same for your manager 5) Your manager will lie straight to your face, so always be careful and don't even bother to go HR. They are not there to help you. 6) One percent 401k match .... The list can go on and on

Pros

Good dental and medical benefits, free lunch

Cons

When I applied at Arsenal, I read the reviews here and thought, it can’t be that bad, right? Wrong, it is absolutely the most toxic work environment I’ve ever been in. On linkedin, job titles boast “senior” of some sort – nearly half. People with limited experience and no direct reports are seniors. This is common in the biotech sector, as it is a risk to work for startups, so the pot is sweetened with a high salary and impressive title. This likely feeds into the cut throat culture that is rampant at Arsenal (for example your colleagues will tell your boss directly if you make a mistake instead of asking you about it). They boast of a culture filled with teamwork and transparency but this is not reality. Everyone trying to position themselves to be around after the next round of layoffs. Everyone who has one of these titles want you to know it. The culture is every decision is played off as if it is teamwork but the reality is, no one wants to be accountable for decisions. When everyone is responsible, no one is responsible. The benefits are good and they provide free lunch.
