AoPS is on the cutting edge of math education. Their curricula are fantastic and help students learn by doing. As a teacher, most of the preparation is done for me already; I just have to review it all briefly ahead of time. Everything is done online, so it can be done from anywhere with an internet connection, and the scheduling is super flexible.

Cons

AoPS tends to hire teachers exclusively from among the smartest in math in the country, so the job isn't for everyone. They value maintaining very high quality even as they expand.

Pros

Super flexible job, I love being able to work whenever I want. The kids are really fun to work with, and the energy in the classroom is always really high. I've also loved getting to know the instructors in the courses. It also provides great opportunities for further professional development.

Cons

While I've loved getting to know the instructors, as it's a work-from-home job, I rarely get to talk to anyone face to face. It's a little weird to work for a company where I have never seen anyone in real life, or even face to face.
