Pros

On the positive side, employees get the opportunity to work on diverse projects with cross-functional stakeholders, which enhances their skill set and provides a rich learning experience. Additionally, there is ample exposure to different aspects of the business, allowing individuals to gain valuable insights and make a meaningful impact on operational changes that drive profit growth.

Cons

The work environment can be chaotic and unpredictable, with a lack of clear planning from day to day through to long term initiatives. The absence of strong SLT cohesion can lead to conflicting opinions and pushback on proposed initiatives, making it challenging to drive consensus and execute strategies effectively, especially as there is no visibility into workload across the whole organization and no top level prioritization happening.

Thank you for sharing your thoughtful feedback about your experience at Article. We're happy to read that you’ve experienced growth and development during your time here. We understand your concerns. Article at times can be a combination of a very dynamic and changing environment, with a lot of autonomy at each department level - this can be challenging. As a result, we often need to deal with high degrees of change or ambiguity, and while this isn’t for everyone, we see others thrive Our Learning & Development team works hard to provide teams with the framework, training, and tools (for example, Lattice, and GROW) to guide and support their employee’s development here at Article. But we can appreciate that this may look different across teams as it is driven by the individual function. Our People & Culture team is always available if you feel that you’re not receiving clear feedback or direction in your role. We would encourage you to utilize our internal communication channels for further feedback. We value individuals who thrive in a flexible, resilient, and big-picture mindset, trusted to solve meaningful problems autonomously. - Carlyn

Pros

Brilliant and supportive team members Great physical product

Cons

Founders who are very unclear and not taking on decisions over what their business strategy needs to be in order to grow and scale. Because they do not want to take clear decisions, it makes it challenging for teams to align and work together towards common goals, leading to redundant products, projects and employee turmoil.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review here. I hope you were able to attend our Q2 All-Hands meeting, where our Senior Leadership Team shared our business direction, financial performance and areas of focus going forward to ensure we’re maintaining our momentum. If you missed this meeting, it was recorded and I highly recommend viewing it. Additionally, if you have concerns and a lack of alignment, please speak to your manager directly about them. If their answers are not sufficient then reach out to our founders directly - Aamir and Andy. Both not only welcome but crave honest, direct feedback, without sugarcoating the truth.
