Thank you for leaving a review. I appreciate your honesty and I’m glad you enjoy the work/life balance and relaxed work life. That is intentional — we try very hard to facilitate that atmosphere to support holistic wellbeing. You make a fair point about compensation. Our philosophy is to pay in the top 30 percentile. That does mean large tech companies will offer more than us in compensation. However, we balance that with what you mentioned in the Pros section — we create an environment that is relaxed and lets you own how and when you work. It’s always difficult to put a price on work/life balance. It’s not as tangible as a number or benefit. But we believe the ability to have freedom and autonomy in how you do your work is significant and important. - Open to remote work. - Market-related salaries. - Smart colleagues who collaborate well

Cons

- It sometimes feels as though some of the employees who have been here longer are not open to the opinions of newer people because "this is the way they have always done things." At the end of the day its whatever, I'm still getting paid whether you take my opinion or not.

Pros

This has, hands down, been my favourite job. I’m shocked to see all of the negative reviews lately. You’re a customer care agent, working in a busy call centre environment during a pandemic. It’s going to get busy, that’s inevitable. The team is amazing. The relationships you make along the way are what keep you going. People are genuine and kind. Nothing is perfect and at the end of the day it’s a job that can get extremely stressful. Still, you have proper resources, people listen and you’re also provided with the tools you need to get your job done. This was the first role I was ever trained for where I had the opportunity to learn and practice before I was thrown onto the floor. People care about you and your success

Cons

Benefits could be better. Article should consider contributing to RSP. More staff! Never stop hiring. The turnover is REAL and that shouldn’t be surprising now. Be prepared and staff your team adequately before you burn people out. That was a lesson that was learned this year.

We are always open to listening to our employees, both past and present. We considered offering an RRSP matching program but made the decision in 2020 to introduce an employee stock option program for all employees at Article. We felt this aligned best with our guiding principle of ownership mindset and ensured all employees have an opportunity to have equity in Article.
