Pros

Remote work. Reasonable compensation and benefits.

Cons

I was so hopeful when I joined Articulate. It was great for a minute, but the decline has been rapid. Very few are happy and management doesn't seem to be aware or care.

Pros

Fully remote Great benefits Awesome colleagues

Cons

When the company got a huge round of VC funding we where assured that it would not affect company culture or values. The recent round of layoffs has proven that to be false. Despite all their talk of putting people first make no mistake, profit and exec salaries will always come first.

Pros

- You can work remotely - You'll do really well if you're white - The current CEO really tries to be fair (note that doesn't trickle down) - Really great at marketing their "values"!

Cons

The company has a huge diversity problem they don’t admit to and actively address. Their hiring efforts don’t put the slightest effort into hiring people of color. Their promotion processes prefer their white counterparts, regardless of merit. The company also has a lot of big heads. The result? White people bullying — their way is the only way. And they will mold you into that — but when considering your career growth, remember that you will never be in leadership. This is a white-person-preferred white-person-dominated company, the rest of what they say is just a smokescreen. And when you try to change something? Nope. People who work here have been working here their whole lives — it’s all they know, so what they believe is always right and they will force that on you. To make things worse — because of the lack of people of color, there’s no diversity of thought or diversity of experience. It’s a never-ending cycle of people feeding into their own beliefs. On top of that, their leadership has no idea what they’re doing. What do they actually do? Who knows… they’re just glorified meeting-go-ers and meeting owners, who know nothing about the product, and nothing on the technical side. The only people hustling are the people on the front line, trying to do as they say. These people aren't managers. What they're really good at is telling you what to do and how to do it. But now, they’re trying to cash out — so they have to be more efficient (but remember, not diverse!), so they package all the improvements you suggested as their own ideas and take credit for it. Oh and guess who benefits from all this? Yup, the white people who have been here the longest, because all they give to the rest is meaningless equity. Not to mention what they pay is below market.
