Pros

Benefits and pay, solid product, teammates who become like family, fully remote

Cons

Diminished work-life balance, move away from original focus on human-centered culture (but still promotes this), rotating door of new executives and management who bring more layoffs and reorgs Articulate says this on their About page: Our culture sets us apart Being a human-centered organization means that people are at the heart of everything we do. This was true a few years ago, and most employees were happy and fully bought in to the mission then. Working hard for Articulate was something people readily did, because it was something we wanted to do, not because there was huge pressure to do so. We loved our teams and the product and felt truly supported and wanted to be part of the company's success together. It was a very motivating environment. The company grew tremendously because of this. I don't see this as being the same case today. I hear from people still at Articulate, who have made it through multiple rounds of layoffs over the past year, that people are overworked, stressed, unhappy, fearful, unclear on the company's vision, and worried they'll be next to go. Yes, this may be the norm across tech companies right now, but for a company that invested in and worked so hard to establish itself as "human-centered," Articulate's cultural pivot was jarring and even more impactful. In my opinion, everything changed when investment money and multiple new exec hires with contrary cultural visions came into the picture. Now it's a much more corporate environment. Employees seem more like numbers in Articulate's machine than human beings. What made Articulate special was undone with layoffs, reorgs, greater pressure, and less communication. If you're looking for a truly human-centered org, somewhere you can dig in for the long term and trust the larger team, look elsewhere. Be sure to read through the reviews on here starting with the Feb. 2023 layoff, where you'll see a stark shift in people's experience at Articulate. So sad to see the decline from what this company used to be.

Pros

Working remotely was great. The product was great.

Cons

Company claims "results only work environment" but results did not seem to count. Mid-level managers always coming up with new "standard operating procedures" which were never written down or communicated. The training provided is terrible.
