I have completed two internships at Arup, and following my second internship, I was extended an offer to return in the capacity of a graduate designer. The organization exhibits a considerate and supportive approach in its treatment of interns, a facet that I genuinely appreciate. I hold a strong affinity for the working environment and company culture here, both of which I find to be truly exceptional.

You may find that Arup's salaries are slightly lower than the market average; however, they compensate for this through their distinctive culture and comprehensive benefits package.

Pros
1. Learning & resources - a lot of learning workshop, lunch talks and other resources such as internal and external sharing sessions. 2. Working environment - good within the team. Seniors are willing to guide when they are available. Sharing knowledge between senior and junior need to be happen frequently such as knowledge sharing session, lesson learnt etc. 3. Flexible working arrangements - 2 days WFH per week 4. Great platform for experiences and learning for fresh graduate 5. Opportunity to work with colleagues around the globe 6. Opportunity for long term or short term assignment at another Arup office 7. High chances to work with notable clients for high profile projects in any sector.
Cons
1. High turnover rate 2. Workload - Typical consultancy line to have high workload and stress with multiple deadlines. However, management could do something with someone who has been overloaded. 3. Timesheet - not reflecting the true workload and busyness 4. Salary - just average in the market & slow increment 5. Profit sharing - approx 1 month. Higher grade will get more. 6. Arup GDP - does not meet expectations . Your learning development depend on your day to day tasks.
