Pros

This company has great benefits and, depending on your department, great mentorship from management. I was lucky enough to feel very valued with this company and my personal and proffesional growth was really unexpected.

Cons

It can be difficult to balance work/life at times. While my job description had listed 20% travel, I spent months where I was out of the office upwards of 70%. You'll find this common in the industry though.

True "family" environment, very loyal company, great healthcare and benefits, warm and nurturing atmosphere with a focus and appreciation for the science and technology. Open door policy to upper management is a huge plus. Management cares about employees. Provides many opportunities for training.

Cons

90% of the decisions made in Japan and they are slow to change or to react to the needs of the market. Not very proactive but likely due to cultural difference of main decision makers. Lack of resources. Poor work/life balance.
