Asahi Kasei offers 1-year internships for up to 15 students a year. It's good fun, and a great experience!!

Pros

If you ever want to experience Japan, Asahi Kasai's Student internships is a perfect way to do so. Challenging work, a salary which is sufficient to live in an expensive country like japan, japanese staff/work culture, and loads of international students to hang out with. Most students (including myself) work on speech recognition.

Cons

The Asahi Kasei Student internship is based in Atsugi. It takes about 1h to go to Tokyo, which is alright for some sightseeing but gets a bit annoying if you want to just meet friends for dinks/dinner in Tokyo.
