Pros

Worked hard but kept busy. Excellent management team who are always supportive of staff initiatives Lovely office space and nice colleagues contributing to nice atmosphere

Cons

Not much scope for development and training Not much chance of promotion Frustrating rules that require you to jump through hoops to achieve even the most insignificant of tasks

What a shady company Ascend has purchased

Pros

The pay wasn't too bad.

Cons

Channels of communication are non-existant. Management wants nothing to do with the workers beneath them. God forbid you actually get promoted, because you definitely won't fit into their clique. Not to worry, you won't last long there. At least most of the management is gone at this point after the acquisition. The corporate culture of TesTeachers was toxic to the bone. TesTeachers held some very questionable business practices that made me incredibly uncomfortable working there. These would range anywhere from their "no refund" policy, to their plagiarized study material and even products that flat-out were non-functional.

Management training needed

Pros

The company as a whole has a lot of potential.

Cons

IT management could use leadership and management training. There is a thought that a manager must be a working manager but then they are also in the weeds and therefore not focused on leading the team.
