      Lack of Leadership, Direction

      Pros

      This place has a handful of good managers. Not great, but decent. And, the PTO is unmatched anywhere else.

      Cons

      Lack of strategic vision and follow through from upper management. This company is a traditional publisher trying, and failing, to succeed in the digital publishing world. They lack direction and focus. As a result, projects are started and abandoned without due diligence on either side.

      The people are amazing, The benefits are on par with other companies in the industry. The management cares about the employees work life balance.

      Cons

      The pay is below the industry average, for the quality of work that we do we should be compensated better.

      Excellent vacation and sick policy. Good benefits.

      Cons

      Lofty values embodied in a set of statements hanging in everyone's office and cube yet a culture that can't live up to it's values. A rotating cast of characters at the senior management level leaves this ship rudderless. Business processes are a mess and without stronger internal facing leadership they will remain so. At mid and junior level positions prepare yourself to feel completely without a voice and completely toothless.
