Pros

A long time ago there may have been some pros to this company... When I started the company was much smaller, and very family-oriented.

Cons

The company was focused on diversity at any cost. I was actually told when I was involved in hiring new representatives that it was important that I focus on diverse candidates, people of color, women, and most importantly LGBTQ+ The company would often times have pro LGBTQ initiatives and you were expected to participate whether you wanted to or not. There was one person in particular who was hired on a temporary basis. This individual was transgendered and had no education and very little relevant experience. I trained this person, they performed very poorly overall. This individual was fast tracked, not only surpassing my position, but very quickly surpassing nearly everybody I knew, this person is now a director of one of our sites. Which is bizarre because this person doesn't even have a high school education. I applied for a higher position which I was well qualified for. My director pulled me aside and explained to me that they're simply was no path upward for me, only sideways... I wasn't quite sure what they meant so I pressed and asked for more information... My director explained to me that there's no path forward for a straight white male in this company anymore... And that the best he could do is maybe look at getting me a raise or something like that... I took a new position that really was just a step sideways, working with somebody who would never been in management, on a project that had never before been attempted in the company. I was constantly berated... And the director of this project told me that they felt that I was trying to take their job. I explained to them that that was not the case and that it was my intent to best serve them however they needed. Towards the end of my employment I was brought into a meeting and informed that I had done well, that I hit all my goals and that I was not in any way having to worry about my employment. At the end of that meeting I was asked if there was anything else that I wanted to speak about, I said that there was. I explained to my supervisor that I felt that our new department was not doing as well as it could and that we were floundering... I explained that myself, as well as my female counterpart were honestly sick and tired of being blamed for the department's failures. I also explained that I found many of the things that she, my supervisor, said we're inflammatory and completely inappropriate. I went further to explain that many of the comments that she made we're not fostering a good and inclusive work environment and that many of us in the department were constantly in fear for our job, and we felt degraded. The meeting ended and about 30 minutes later I received a message that I was required to attend a meeting first thing in the morning, I asked if I was being fired, my supervisor said we'll talk about that tomorrow. I attended the meeting via video chat which included my supervisor as well as our human resources department. Has my supervisor was firing me she couldn't even look me in the eyes. B She just kept looking down. I was told that my scores were extremely low some of the lowest we've seen that it's been a sharp drop over the last year. This is extremely comical since I was given this new position based on my merit, as well as a raise, also based on my merit less than a year before. After I left I contacted one of my contacts that were still in that department and I was informed that all of my scores had been lowered to non-passing scores... This is comical because I'm one of the people who audits those scores... So I know for a fact that my scores were passing, in fact by and large they weren't just passing they were exceeding expectations. My contact in the department I once worked for suggested that I needed to speak with another individual who had been fired. I contacted that individual and she explained to me that all of her scores have been lowered to below expectations. Interestingly enough I remember working with this person in an effort to help them raise their scores, teaching them better practices and how to handle more complex situations. I remember a particular period before this individual was fired where I was told that I was not to access any of their scores nor was I to contact them in any way shape or form... Little did I know they were changing her scores to build a false case against her, just as they had done with me. You see in this company only human resources can fire you and if you haven't done anything to break rules and your attendance is good they have no practical reason to fire you outside of poor performance. If you remember I wrote that the meeting I had had the day before being fired I was told that I had nothing to worry about and that I would not be fired because I met all the requirements to continue my employment.
