Pros

Salary and benefits were fair.

Cons

The company has managers who have been there for a long time and fear losing their jobs with new leadership. They are not highly skilled but are a tight clique. They are political for their own well being rather than doing the right thing for the company. Agree with their agenda and play the game; not work focused and growth oriented.

Pros

- Solid Monday-Friday hours w/added flexibility to change to your schedule. - Great management team. - Coworkers typically keep to themselves unless you really need to collaborate with them. - My position isn't micromanaged and I'm free to do my job from clock-in to clock-out entirely on my own. I only ask for help when I need it for complex transactions. - Great work/life balance and coworkers are usually there to help whenever you need it. - Amazing opportunities to move up within the company. Since they're growing at a fast/stable rate, new higher-up positions are opening at a great pace. - I can see myself being here for several years if not a decade or more.

Cons

- Older population of coworkers can get a little snobby & refuse to answer your questions/train you well. Sometimes they'll even pin that on you. - Directors are overpaid to just be a figurehead. When deadlines approach (i.e. for 5500's) they will tell you to work more, without helping out. - They need more healthcare options though there are adequate choices already. - Work can get boring, BUT it's great for those who like predictable days/tasks. - Pay could be better and slightly above market average especially due to the responsibility we have with handling someone else's funds.

Pros

Overtime typically available when desired. Decent amount of vacation time, though you are at times discouraged from taking it.

Cons

Those who are driven to succeed and advance are encouraged to work overtime and given responsibilities outside of their roles and above their pay grade, but they are rarely recognized for their efforts. Upper management will beat entry-level team members over the head with promises of growth opportunities, but when advancement is aggressively pursued, and fully earned, middle management falls back on the excuse of the corporate environment preventing rapid advancement. Raises are not permitted for performance, only minor ones granted for time spent in the company. This results in burnout and a lack of morale: people who want to prove themselves end up doing the work of multiple people without any timeline for relief or promotion. The call center procedures are becoming increasingly more restrictive, without concern for the client experience, and the teams never seem to be adequately staffed, so reps often get imprisoned at their desks, or find themselves searching fruitlessly for supervisor support. Benefits didn't help cover much of anything, but were costly.
