Pros

Engineers help each other out a lot. You also get to remote work if you’re outside of the radius of an Ascensus office.

Cons

Projects have tight deadlines and you’ll be expected to deliver projects every month maybe even 2 projects a month. If you miss a deadline, be prepared to get seriously criticized even though it’s not anyone’s control. They are creating more offshore teams to get cheaper labor but onshore teams are expected to babysit them. They’ve laid off a few engineers and even demoted some even though we had so much profits this year.

Pros

Great mission for helping Americans save for retirement.

Cons

Tech debt. Lousy customer experience. Poor execution on new goals. Feels like the legacy tech is being outpaced by new competitors.
