Pros

Good co-workers, great discounts and good product.

Cons

Upper management's micro-managing of managers and stores. Very few store visit's, but when senior managers come to the store, they don't understand what has been going on and disregard any requests for help.

Pros

Ashley offers a lot of opportunity for those willing to work. Be careful, though. It's a meat grinder. People stay there a few months or forever. You must play the game at Ashley or find another team. Medical plan is OK. Ownership cares about the overall health of the enterprise and will work to help you.

Cons

No retirement match. No pension. No long term disability comp without a huge outlay. No vision. Two weeks of vacation < 5 yrs, then max 3 over lifetime. Long hours. Salary based on a 40hr work week is not comparable to other jobs since there is no such thing as a 40hr week at Ashley unless you are hourly. Profit sharing around 1%, but not guaranteed.

Pros

Comparable schedule, fast paced, work was interesting

Cons

management disrespectful, pay is lacking, promotions are not well-deserved but rather given to those who know the right people and are favored by executives, management are not people managers, employment is never secure, many people are fired very regularly, ethics are constantly questioned, turn-over rates are through the roof, employee training and retention is not a priority.
