Prestigious organization that is respected by the outside world in general. The work is noticed by the public and makes a difference.

Cons

The leadership is not very committed to the mission and tradition of the organization. Many individuals in leadership positions with no Asia expertise. Fundraising is not effective. Lots of internal conflicts due to financial issues. Corporate culture is taking over an organization that really isn’t that big.

Most colleagues are genuinely dedicated to the mission Sometimes you get leftover catered food from events

Cons

Entire staff of 30 has turned over multiple times within the last five years Senior staff are overpaid and half of them are not qualified for their positions HR is close personal friends with the president of the organization - your complaints WILL get back to her When development department does not meet goals, lower level staff are let go and development is not held accountable President of organization bullies those who disagree with her and is not truthful in reports to the board The board does not pay attention to the daily operations of the organization and takes the president at her word 10-15 hour days are the norm, not the exception, and you will be salaried at a low wage to avoid overtime pay
