Pros

Could work from home and good coworkers to work with. Pay was good but not great. Also had good benefits.

Cons

Some manager would ask you to work all hours and not give overtime even though is was against policy but upper management did nothing about it.

Pros

Great people on the front line. Of the few knowledgeable ones that are still there they were always willing to help out. That's about it.

Cons

Appalling management style. Endemic blame culture with no back up from management. Poor quality product. Support revenues down quarter on quarter and product and services revenues down quarter on quarter. Expectation that you will work long hours with no recognition. Existing customers are moving away in droves due to no credible migration plan to the newer platform and expensive, poor support.

Pros

I would give Aspect a 4 rating prior to being acquired by Vector Capital. As siloed and at times chaotic, but employees felt appreciated, worked hard, and worked well together. There was a sense of 'team'. There are still a few employees left who truly care about the customer and the work they do. Miss the team I was on. They were all solid performers.

Cons

Getting rid of ALL of the previous senior management on day 1 after Vector took over was a telling sign of the subsequent decisions to come by the new senior management. As a result a lot of the decisions made by the new management, specifically the new CEO, were made in a void. More often than not, if you did not agree with the CEO and bow to him, the exit door was shown to you very quickly. Massive egos at the top of the food chain usually lead to a house-of-cards situation.
