      Pros

      After 5 years working here, it's really hard to say there are any pros. Optimize conference wrapped up, and it's evident AspenTech is falling behind in the market place. Customers more impressed with Emerson presentations, which says everything it needs to about where aspen is

      Pros

      Great technology and strong market penetration.

      Cons

      Berating management, micro management, low trust. They will unilaterally change your sales comp plan if they think you’re making too much money. Sad to see so many great folks trapped under such awful management. Customers would like to dump Aspen as a vendor but are trapped. Aspen takes full advantage and acts arrogantly towards key customers. Hugely inflated sense of superiority and no concept of customer satisfaction or relationships.
