Not a bad place to work

Pros

Good compensation, some great people to work with. Good opportunities to change positions within the company and further your career.

Cons

Lack of focus/direction from senior management (which has changed dramatically since I was there, due to the sale of this company by Genworth). Long hours, with too much work and too many projects. The focus is supposedly on excellence, but the change comes too fast and doesn't allow for things to work as well as they should. Examples were too many product launches post 2008-09, with things that addressed yesterday's issues, without a good foundation in if the products would be appropriate.

Pros

Great starter job for recent college graduates. parking BART

Cons

Low pay: The average salary is 60K-70K at other firms The hours are horrible 5am-2pm and you have to work holidays from 3am to 10am the benefits are a joke the concord office is slowly moving to phoenix AZ to cut cost they get most of their staff from bay area tech-workers ( they pay you $18 an hour and then $24.04 if AssetMark gives you an offer) there is a lot of turnover because people are finding better jobs with higher pay
