Pros

The ability to work from home offers great flexibility, and the paid training ensures that employees are well-compensated while learning the job. The team is friendly and supportive, creating a positive work environment. Additionally, benefits begin from the date of hire, providing immediate security and peace of mind.

Cons

1. The training program was supposed to last for four weeks, but we were required to start taking calls in the second week. This significantly reduced the time we had to learn the necessary applications thoroughly. 2. The accelerated training schedule made it difficult to feel adequately prepared for customer interactions. 3. The company emphasizes expressing empathy to customers, which in itself is positive. However, the expectation to constantly apologize and fabricate stories to relate to customers felt excessive and unprofessional.

Pros

Like all companies, the "non leaders" are what makes this company worthwhile. Very good people to work with and they do work hard!

Cons

Assurant is a remarkably disorganized operation, which was both surprising and disappointing. It felt as if the leadership team was making decisions by throwing darts in the dark rather than employing a thoughtful, strategic approach. Assurant just "buys" other companies and then tries to fit them into a "culture". Moreover, the company's mindset appeared to be stuck in a bygone era, reminiscent of the 1980s, with old-school thinking dominating its approach to business and customer service. This outdated perspective made it challenging to resolve modern problems efficiently or to engage with them using contemporary solutions. The overall impression is that Assurant has not kept pace with the times, which in today's fast-evolving world, can be a significant drawback. Innovation, agility, and customer-centricity are key to success, Assurant's approach feels out of touch with all three. Also the benefits are sub par. Two weeks of vacation to start off with...some divisions it's a "good ole boys" club.
