Pros

You get to work with a lot of talented engineers. The problems you solve are interesting. You can walk up to anyone and ask them questions about how things work. You have flexibility in the hours you work. Young engineers are give lots of responsibility. The office is very nice. Free lunches every day.

Cons

Long hours, especially when things go wrong. Making decisions and spending money requires a lot of work to get something approved. We describe ourselves as scrappy, but have a lot of rigid processes for a startup.

Reasonable benefits for the most part (there is a company gym and a stipend for bikers and people that take public transit)

Cons

A lot of the talented senior engineers have left and it’s become a bit of a mess generally. Management hasn’t been transparent with the status of how it’s been going with customers/ prospect wise. Not many career opportunities either with a 5 day in office policy. To be successful, they expect 50 hour weeks with no compensation for it. Pay wise, you can easily get paid more at any other company in the Bay Area.
