They like to keep employees in a box....for example, if you are in a certain Job Category, they will not increase your salary to reflect your experience and the value of your work - they will only increase literally like 2.5% and most importantly to in comparison (minimally 3% to include the cost of living in area) to what the current market in a region is minimally or to meet or negotiate to even close to what the maximum salary would.

The company has become so unstable that large swaths of employees are terminated at a moments notice. The company on paper looks fantastic but in fact is a paper dragon. The policies and company “values” are all style and no substance and trust in leadership is non-existent. They will find every possible way to cut expenses and benefits ( including vacation which is now laughable and cloaked behind mystery target goals). Any company “partnered with private equity” will eventually erode any positive feelings the remaining employees have. Astrion is an amalgamation of companies acquired through debt so even more benefit downgrades are expected. As a contractor there is no incentive or reward for going above and beyond ( other than personal integrity). if you are lucky you may receive an “Astry” and be formally recognized by leadership , aka a digital high five with no monetary value.
