The leadership was a farce, both offensive and derogatory. I was hired and fired in less than 30 days. The reason was performance, and as someone who is tasked focused, I wasn't given any tasks. The management kept logins and access ompletely restricted and in the 30 days I was there, I had not been giving access to the systems required to do the job of a system administrator. In the end I was fired and they hired someone internal to the company the next day. This tells me this was planned in advance and due to govenement contracts they needed to "attempt" to fill the position externally first.

Pro and con. There can be a large emphasis or over emphasis on consensus /getting everyone on board ( other business units and departments that have a siloed view). I believe it is/can be important in many cases but at some points some departments or business units can be focused on their own territories over the larger initiative.
