      The negatives outweigh the positives...

      Pros

      -Lots of opportunity for hands-on with new technology and big projects -IT spending was very good (necessary projects approved) -IT staff was mostly very competent and very driven

      Cons

      -Management. Decisions that didn't make good business sense were pushed through. There was no support for employees and a lot of blame placed on subordinates to make themselves look good. -The hours were insane. -Projects were given arbitrary deadlines. -Good people were not being promoted.

      good people to work for - decent call centers - good locations around the country - good benefits -

      upper management not well schooled - corporate job to the max when it comes to promotions - lots of politics which is a part of that kind of business

      Pros

      The people actually doing the work really want to do their best and to grow with the company. They want the company to succeed and to feel like they are appreciated as a part of that success.

      Cons

      Management looks at the people doing the work as interchangeable expendable drones to be used, abused and disposed of. Managers build fiefdoms to protect their own piece of the business, only concerned for themselves and little concern for the overall good of the company.
