Pros

You gain first hand experience marketing and growing your OT program which you will be solely responsible for. There is usually only 1 OT per clinic and majority of OT’s work part time or are split between 2 clinics when full time. Hours are flexible depending on your situation.

Cons

The company as a whole has become very greedy caring little about patient care and more about the number of units being billed. They promote young and inexperienced clinicians as facility managers and have increased the number of PTAs hired to lessen clinic overhead. The company does not back their employees in any way. They do not coach new hires and many are left to figure it out on their own. They make clinic expectations so high so that no one can meet them so they can rationalize giving you a 1 percent raise and no bonus. Your raise and bonus is based off your performance so if you are starting a new program at a clinic be prepared to not get either for the first three years. If they tell you that you can expect a large bonus after one year during your interview, know that it is a lie.
