Pros

They focus on doing high-quality work for their clients. They prioritize employee needs, even in the face of adversity. They have been forced to look at continuously improving to stay alive. They have humility. Everyone (that stays) is open to doing what needs doing. They pay better than most (on paper), as compensation for the pay stability risk. Senior management seems to have a conscience and try to do what is right.

Cons

They keep running into financial problems with a lack of consistent sales, and they don't have enough buffer to shield employees. It's an emotional rollercoaster when times are hard, which affects morale. Not enough positive/ constructive feedback.

Thank you for your candid feedback. We genuinely care about everyone at Atimi and agree on complete honesty in every matter that affects our employees. This is why we include everyone in the decisions that are made, even when they’re difficult decisions that test the company’s resilience. We want everyone to understand the path ahead and ask questions. It would be invaluable to hear more details about your experience so that we can resolve these issues and improve going forward. If you have the time, please send me a message at feedback@atimi.com with any further input you can provide. Best, Steve Gully

Pros

Variety of projects, clients and processes. You never get stuck in a rut and there's always the chance to try out new stuff. Flexible work schedule, with some WFH options, and no overtime required (if you're good). Pay is better than most (probably to compensate for the risk of working with pay bumps). There's no fake / imposed culture. All the cliques left with the previous pay disruptions. People with egos don't work out. People that rely on politics to establish their career, don't work out. The espresso machine with in house barista is a nice addition. Good bang for the buck.

Cons

People living pay check to pay should stay away, there's still risk. The president doesn't communicate well with the staff, you need a thick skin and a no expectations about an inspiring boss. Performance reviews don't happen often enough. Tools updates are few and far between. Benefits are only adequate. Not a lot of support for employees that aren't cutting it, they are given too many chances without enough clarity about what they need to do to improve.

Thanks for the constructive feedback. The company has met its payroll obligations consistently over the past year and there should be no risks from an employee perspective. We have recently completed an annual performance review for all employees and increased salaries and benefits. We also brought back items such as snack/food and yes, the espresso machine. As for sales the company is in the middle of recruiting a senior VP sales and hope to have that person on board in the next little while. There are other items that continue to be reviewed and where possible improved, including senior management communications.

- High salaries - Outstanding work life balance - Get to work on a variety of interesting projects - Very high quality of code and development standards - Good processes in place with regards to QA and Project Management - Great people to work with, and an enjoyable work atmosphere

Cons

- No clear long term vision - Have lost a lot of good employees in the past year - Salaries did get delayed at one point (but have subsequently been caught up) - Poor strategic decisions time and time again
