Pros

The job I was doing building robots in Auburn Hills was really cool. The facility was very clean and climate controlled.

Cons

They give you pacifiers instead of paying you industry wages. There is a ton of drama there and the people are catty. The place is unstable in terms of work (one week 10 hours a day, the next week asked to leave early due to lack of work.) People in leadership positions they don't know how or just don't perform the job tasks. The place is run like the Gen X version of the Old Boys Network. They tend not to keep production contract people as out of 4 contract people I knew of, at the time I left (I was not terminated, I chose to leave,) of the 4 contract people I knew o. I left on my own, 2 were terminated and 1 was brought on direct. Do yourself a favor and skip this place all together.

Pros

I enjoyed working with some great customers. The tools and solutions we provided are truly the best. It was satisfying to provide high level solutions to complex issues and watch the customers thrive as a result.

Cons

The Industrial Technique group is extremely mismanaged. I had 6 managers in 6 years. The upper management where difficult to work with, a few of them where openly uncaring and complacent. Basic needs of employees are not meat, the work environment was oftentimes unnecessarily unsafe as a result. It was also disappointing to see bad behavior from the sales rep who often failed to communicate with customers leaving them without support in times of need.

Pros

Very interesting work. Get to meet a lot of good people and learn a lot.

Cons

As a commissioning engineer, they virtually never tell you where you're going next. You can be in Louisiana one day and on your way home they tell you to turn around and go to Oregon. Its difficult to have a life outside of work when you can't plan around work
