      Pros

      At Atlassian I sometimes hear my co-workers say that they are "doing some of the best work of their lives." I truly believe this, and have experienced it myself. The company has a remarkably distinct and powerfully positive culture, and the leadership teams truly lives the values. Here's what I enjoy the most: - Values driven culture, no BS, and inspiring mission - High trust environment where I feel empowered - Frequent, high-quality communication (weekly company meetings) - Incredible growth with kick-ass products - Great lunches, snacks, and events

      Cons

      Global footprint (US, Australia, Europe) makes working across timezones a bit tricky at times.

      Pros

      Good benefits and compensation, very competitive in Australia. Still some people around who carry the old Atlassian values.

      Cons

      The culture at Atlassian has really gone downhill. I was in the data org, and things shifted quickly after our previous leader left. A new exec came in from Meta, brought in his mates, and the place turned toxic fast. The result was clear. Good people left, and they’ve been replaced by political operators. For all its size, the data org delivers very little of real value, and what does come out is poor quality. Too much time gets chewed up by politics.

      * Bad pay , too much cost cutting no benefits like it used to be * Clueless leadership * Very demanding culture and toxic culture. Managers are incompetent.
