I left because the particular team I was on had fired their manager and spent months in meetings that devolved into screaming and swearing on a regular basis to try and tackle the issue of how to handle the workload. There was no consensus on the correct approach and no strong leaders to step in and implement any judgement or experiential foresight. But in the time since I have left, I've known many others to also take the leap to new and exciting opportunities and each time, I have heard them talk of the bitterness of their departure in the same ways in which I felt when I left.
