Good, definitely not great

Pros

There seems to be a real culture of wanting to be great. Category defining company that is ahead of the curve in terms of Cloud/Azure. Room for growth and they encourage behaviors that enable growth.

Cons

The execution of wanting to be great falls drastically short. No real direction starting from the top down. Ever changing focus doesn't allow for consistency. Do not give you the tools to grow and take ownership.

Pros

The technology, The people I work with are great & my manager, The benefits are pretty good, The direction of the business, For the most part, the customers are positive to work with.

Cons

Lots of change in the company, which while good for the business, can be disruptive at times. Competing goals at times get in the way of getting things done. Resources - some of what the company wants to do needs more resources.

Pros

Decent healthcare benefits. Decently stocked food pantry for snacks. Fairly close commute from home.

Cons

If there was a problem with a process we had performed, we wouldn't hear about it for, on average, two to three weeks afterward. Not a smart idea if it is of a more critical nature. Because of the above, over time I became more concerned about what I was doing wrong instead of being concerned about doing the right thing. Better follow-through from management would have been nice. We shouldn't always have to pull it out of them to make that happen. Inconsistent sense of mission. I understand the company is fairly new as companies like this go, and transitions aren't always going to be the smoothest, but they had ample enough time to sort things out, and be concise on what each person in the company was supposed to do. It didn't take long for me to realize that the team I was part of was a dumping ground for tasks other teams didn't want to do. Worse still, when we make mistakes on it, we would get jumped on mercilessly.
