Pros

-Company is very good about paying for your certifications. - Plenty of vacation time given - HR is responsive when problems arise.

Cons

- Below average pay for the work we did. - Inexperienced manager who placed neophyte members of the team as leads over people with 10-20 years of IT knowledge. Because of the lack of experience in lead positions, projects were late and numerous network outages occurred while I was there. - Manager alienated his team due to him constantly making poor decisions. One bad decision was hiring guys with no IT experience who used to worked in fast food restaurants. - Manager stayed in his office for most of the day and never had a pulse on what was happening with his team. -Instead of promoting from within, management would find someone from different satellite data centers around the country.

Pros

People are very good to work with. Great opportunity for kids out of high school. Will pay for Cert tests.

Cons

Very boring, same work over and over....nothing new to learn for experienced techs. My immediate lead tech is just out of high school ( i have 25 years in IT)...unacceptable. Manager undercut pay of multiple employees then was fired for having high turnover rate. PAY way below industry standards for the work being performed. The Microsoft folks get paid three times as much as the ATOS people for doing the same work. Work is always behind due to inexperience of the teams, most of the leads are very young and in over their heads. The job announcement said work with state of the art equipment, except it neglected to say all you will be doing is racking the equipment and plugging in some cables. You never get to access or load any data to the equipment, that is all done by remote techs that guess what get paid 2-3 time more that we do. Announcement was misleading but in an area where this is located it is the best IT job around even if it is not really IT works. Heck some of the new folks have no IT experience at all on guy was an auto mechanic. Since i have been there several folks have left for better positions and I am currently looking too.

Pros

nothing positive to write about. Nice office with nice office furniture. Excellent break room. Strict security measures in place. Staff is always in stress!

Cons

All negative due to change in Microsoft business model. No adequate training is provided. Employees are treated disrespectfully and the manager seems to be a dictator!
