Balanced Insights: Benefits Shine, Management Accountability Lacks
Pros
Great Employment Benefits: The company offers excellent benefits, including comprehensive dental and health insurance coverage. I've personally found these benefits to be reliable and valuable. Employee Appreciation Initiatives: The provision of employee appreciation meals and employee of the month awards is commendable. These initiatives serve as effective motivators and demonstrate the company's commitment to recognizing and rewarding employee contributions.
Cons
Lack of Accountability in On-Property Management: There appears to be a recurring issue with on-property management's reluctance to accept accountability or responsibility for their locations. Instead, they tend to shift blame onto area managers or higher-ups, which can create a culture of finger-pointing rather than problem-solving. Unreasonable Expectations: There are concerns about management's expectations regarding employee lunch breaks and working off the clock. The requirement for employees to take a 30-minute unpaid lunch break while not allowing them to leave the front desk and expecting them to work off the clock is unfair and potentially illegal. Inefficient Management Structure: The scheduling practices of the Front Office Manager (FOM) and Front Office Supervisor (FOS) seem to be causing operational inefficiencies. The fact that they both take the same days off every week leaves the General Manager (GM) to manage the desk, rendering the FOM or FOS roles practically redundant. This suggests a need for a reassessment of the management structure and responsibilities within the company.
