Pros

The benefits and pay is pretty good. The work schedule is very flexible so it's very convenient.

Cons

Anyone who has filed a complaint with HR can testify that no action is ever taken. It seems to me that HR is friends with a lot of management and tends to make excuses for their actions. Who allows or thinks its ok for a manager to disrespect an employee by bad mouthing them to another employee or to talk down to them? This is absolutely inappropriate and unprofessional. I've been here for over 5 years and there has been no disciplinary action whatsoever. It's always excused or overlooked. People are leaving the company left and right because the company is not managed right. I think it's terrible that employees can't turn to HR and know things will be handled.

We agree that having a positive work environment is key to ensuring we have an engaged, productive workforce and appreciate your courage in posting your feelings on this matter. We definitely don’t want our employees to feel that HR is not here for them and does not take action on complaints that have been filed. If you would like to contact me personally, I’d be willing to discuss these matters. If not, we will soon be launching a leading edge employee survey used by most ‘best place to work’ companies because we want to offer our employees multiple avenues for providing direct feedback. Regardless of the feedback path chosen, please let us know how we can help, we are listening. Thanks, Darrell Taft, VP of HR

Pros

Nothing special. I’m from engineering team and can only talk about that. Pretty standard : 1/2/3 day lunches Stocked cafeteria Unlimited PTO

Cons

List is long but I’ll ty to summarize it: 1. No room for growth individually or for company. Auction was acquired by THL and is on downward spiral since then. Only hope is if company get re acquired by some bigger P.E. 2. If people always thought why P.Es are bad, this is the textbook example. Mass exodus, PE taking 100% profit, average raise of 2% when company profit is healthy. The margin of profit is really high. 3. Tech stack wise not much of going on except AWS to cut cost , repackage it and sell it. Actual tech stack which runs auction is a joke. Lots of manual process is needed to run the company and auctions. 4. Layers of executives and managers mostly good for nothing. I’ve not seen such small sized company having 2 CTO’s. 5. Team morale is all time down and people are jumping left and right. You don’t want to join where there is no culture or morale. 6. HR team is trying their best to understand and fix the culture but too late to do anything.
