      Horrible and full of politics

      Pros

      Decent office space, None that I could think of.

      Cons

      - Non competitive salaries - No growth, growth is based out of favoritism and politics - If you are the outstanding performer in the team, then you really don't get anything. - Tech debt, people are not willing to adopt to latest tech stack.

      Good managers shield from poor upper leadership

      Pros

      As my 4 star review reflects, I'm very happy at Audible - one of the best jobs I've had. Great office space, great snacks/lunch, and interesting work with a great team. However, your experience very much depends on who your immediate manager is.

      Cons

      While my manager is excellent, there are some I know who are not and upper leadership in the company seems very political (both office politics and political politics) and simultaneously out of touch with what is happening on the ground.

      Risk-averse management who really want you to drink the Kool Aid

      Pros

      Free food available all day. Lunch in a great cafeteria. Cool office, mostly upbeat people. Very smart people as well.

      Cons

      Risk averse management who are hesistant to go places they haven't been before. Often ridiculous reasoning behind decision making. Can be as simple as "customer called to complain" aka one customer decides what's best for everyone or very small focus groups. The people who are enthusiastic about working there are almost cult-like .
