Pros

The customer base is world class. Employees are smart people who really know their products. Senior Management is a close knit team of experienced professionals.

Cons

Virtual work environment gives no opportunity for real team bonding. Deliveries rely too heavily on a small group of over-utilized experts. Solution positioning leaves lots of untapped potential.

Pros

Aurea Software is a company with a great vision, and a matching strategy. They know where they want to go to, and they are successful in getting there. As an employer, Aurea provides you with plenty of room and opportunities to grow, and thrive in the ecosystem. If you work hard and deliver durable results, you will get opportunities to step up, and you will get noticed. You have to posses a healthy dose of flexibility and adaptability though, but for the right kind of people, having so much freedom of choice in how you get to the desired outcome, is just a blessing.

Cons

Aurea is basically a virtual company. The employees are dispersed all over the globe, and one of the most important challenges to overcome, is finding a way to build strong professional relationships with the geographical dispersion as a given. Just like when working in a physical office, it's important to get to know your colleagues up close and personal, in order to become efficient. This is just a bit harder with virtual companies, but once you're there, you don't miss commuting to the office anymore. Quite the contrary

Pros

- Flexibility (working hours, what you do, etc) - Management listens to ideas if you have the plan to implement - Salary is good - International team - Virtual team (you can work from wherever you want as long as you have a decent web access) - no lengthy, numerous, unproductive meetings, just a "get things done" mentality - It never becomes boring. Always an opportunity for internal projects or a chance to learn new technology (e.g. frequent acquisitions add new technology/products)

Cons

- Management sometimes forgets that non-US countries have different rules/laws/culture - The big difference that experienced employees can make is not recognized in all departments
