Austin Independent School District provides great benefits for employees. Each campus has a different work atmosphere. Overall good job post college.

Cons

Lower pay than other districts in Austin area. Minimum technology on campus. Please consider adding this to each campus. a

AISD: Travis High School

Pros

Travis High School is a great school. Principal is awesome and very supportive. Teachers are very helpful and close. Some students are rough, but they are good about getting the bad apples out of your and will back you up as long as you CYA with documentation.

Cons

A lot testing and push from administration to meet district and state goals. Although you get that anywhere now. You don't get a whole lot of freedom when it comes to planning. You will work with a group of teachers--like it or not. A lot of red tape and paperwork because it's a Title I school.
