Pros

Administrators have low expectations of students. Keep the grades high and work low and life is easy.

Cons

Very low rigor for students. Very little Administrator support. If you want to raise rigor and actually teach students in line with 21st Century, expect a lot of push back from administration and peers.

Pros

Great benefits for individuals and family, loved the school where I worked, and the principal was very supportive. District allows sick and personal leave that is reasonable.

Cons

Mandates being passed down from the state level, so much pressure placed on teachers, standardized tests and all the amount of testing required of teachers, and the continuous cycle of introducing new programs and systems that teachers are expected to learn and apply immediately.
