Pros

-some great supervisors who are willing to vouch for you and give you help in learning how to run programs -fun to work and develop good relationships with kids and families -great experience to develop interpersonal skills and learn about evidence based practices. -great for those who want to go into the realm of psychology/social work/counseling/ABA/etc.

Cons

-inconsistent hours at times, so unstable pay (depends on cancellations, client availability, scheduling staff) -hard to go full-time unless your willing to be scheduled from 8am-8:30pm with gaps between the day -experience somewhat depends on assigned cases/supervisors

Pros

Paid training, quick turnaround from training -> working a case.

Cons

Training doesn't involve any actual experience working with kids, so it felt uncomfortable at the start . It feels as if the company just threw me in and expected me to handle things I hadn't received any guidance on. Supervisors rarely actually supervise so it feels like you're kind of on your own unless you keep asking for help. Intricacies of session aren't really completely explained during training. Advertised as a really easy job playing with kids but in reality is really challenging and stressful, and you're forced to figure a lot of things out on your own.
