Pros

- families and kids you work with show more appreciation than actual company - you truly do make a difference in your kiddos' life and the bond and progress you make with them is rewarding 2 stars for this aspect only

Cons

- interview process is very misleading, I was assured that gas would be compensated. It is not. You only get compensated based on minimum distance requirements from home to client. Multiple daily trips to your clients, gas money = 0 reimbursement - training is sorely lacking and misleading, a lot of responsibility mentally, physically and emotionally (and financial risk) is put on BTs on top of that with little to no support from clinical team as they are overworked with caseloads - you're just a number to them who meets their clinical billing hours. - any cancellation made by clients in advance = 0 pay - any teaching materials paid by you for a productive session with kiddos = 0 reimbursement - schedules are often inconsistent which affects pay drastically - this is the most critical red problem that I have: safety training is an afterthought and company does not require it because of the cost - this was a complete red flag to me when I started. There is literally ZERO training or knowledge-sharing on how to manage 'challenging' behaviors until AFTER you've been bitten or witnessed clients injuring themselves or others.

Pros

Very flexible with schedule especially if you’re still attending school.

Cons

Lack of interactions with other colleagues. You mainly see people that work in the same company with you when you attend pod meetings.
