Pros

Hybrid work from home program is only perk

Cons

Base pay compared to industry standard is abysmal. Offering bonuses and profit sharing when the company is not profitable does not offset the base pay. The "training" is nonexistent, and they will tell you anything to get you into a position, and leave you to struggle to learn the job on your own. The stress is not worth the low pay.

Pros

The people are very welcoming and friendly. There is also a large variety of projects to work on.

Cons

The pay is not very competitive and talented individuals will leave for greener pastures. The level of UX maturity isn't up to snuff either, which translates to either UX not having a seat at the table, or being spread too thin by multiple project teams wanting to have UX input. Because of the demands of speed-to-market thinking, there is not enough time to do adequate research and ideation before moving on to design.

Pros

Great coworkers. Stable company. 3 days work from home.

Cons

The pay is terribly low. Transferring to a different department is nearly impossible, despite one of the core values being ‘opportunities for associates.” You have to ‘earn’ work from home time, even if you’ve been with the company for years. Training is all in office, despite the majority of it can be done from home. Promotions are non-existent, unless you have a certain designation(s), and making sure your numbers nearly double the company average. The ‘time in’ you have with the company does not matter when moving departments, as far as promotions and perks. Management puts more pressure on the associates that over perform to make up for the associates who under perform/slack off, creating a toxic work environment and ultimately makes us less profitable, productive, and efficient. Instead of correcting or addressing these KNOWN issues, Auto-Owners just circles around it.
