Cons

Work atmosphere. Having left and looking back AO often takes the "prudent"way out. While other companies provide free coffee bars AO has a coffee bar that you must play for. They discourage employees from talking about compensation and insult you if you mention pay inequalities. They will attempt to scare you from leaving by using metaphors and would rather retain disgruntled employees than treat everyone appropriately.

Pros

Good benefits once you work there for 3+ years, the PTO gets better and the Christmas bonus goes up 1% until it's capped at 10%. Good colleagues to work with.

Cons

Senior leadership often promotes based on politics rather than performance. Some managers appear to consistently underperform but continue to rise through the ranks. Lack of accountability at the top has led to poor strategic decisions and low team morale. Feedback from employees is often ignored or downplayed. Not a lot of room for advancement unless you live or are willing to relocate to Michigan.
