Good Company overall

Pros

Good job overall. Respected by my managers and fellow employees. A lot of autonomy, but little oversight. Fair benefits and good pay.

Cons

Long hours, There is no work-life balance at all so if you are a workaholic this is a good company. I would love to have a little less pay, more support and the ability to work a normal work schedule. There is not a lot of training available and seldom a chance to research and find out the right way to do things. I would also like to see some type of employee portal that gives information on other positions available. I think we lose sight of the fact that there is a lot of potential in our employees but you seldom know if there is a position available for a potential promotion.

Pros

The management at the location is wonderful. They are very understanding on their staff and as long as you get the job done they don't care about the details. They understand their employees have lives before their jobs. There are great people there who make being at work fun.

Cons

It is a Fortune 500 company. It is a classic big corporation that makes the decisions. They will spend millions on renovations and throw a $25,000 lunch in celebration and then turn around lay people off for budget cuts. We used to have bonuses which were taken away. They even took away the $25 gift cards employees got on their birthdays.

Pros

If you have no talent but are a YES Man or a politician you will fit right in!

Cons

They are ONE WAY in every aspect of the term. They will cut your pay plan every other month, incorrectly calculate your compensation in their favor by "mistake". NO bonuses for a good job, but they will find ways to take money from you if there is any excuse at all. Managers with no experience are put in the highest positions that they are not qualified for degrading the level in which you are able to do your job after they are done cutting you out. The definition of micro-management. There are far too many managers, district managers, regional managers, corporate HR, corporate trainers and many other unnecessary managers to make the company top heavy so they can pressure the people who produce more than anywhere else. They constantly want you to change things but don't give you the tools or the backup to do so. Benefits are horrible, you would pay less for insurance without an employer, they contribute nothing and do not care about you in any way.
